| Well, still here in the land of the lost. Weather sucks, its about 115 degrees and getting hotter. Sorry I haven't posted anything for a while, I have been extremely busy. We have going to reanges and shooting stuff up, like Osama Bin Laden's family's house. I have pictures, can't post them, of us shooting up the place. I loved it. Problem was we had to wear full body armor for 6 hrs and we basically cooked ourselves. More good news, I am going on leave in bout 12 days to see my family and friends, my wonderful fiance'e and future baby. I am so excited and a little nervous, as always, about how I'm gonna act around them. I can't stop thinking about it. I don't want to swear around them like I do here, I don't want to act like I do here, which isn't that bad, just not acceptable by civi standards. I know that I've changed being here, I know everyon else has too. I don't know, maybe I'm just worrying about nothing. We got attacked the other night, hit near one of our hangers, and I got a pice of the shrapnel in my office. Well, I gotta go. Take care people. | | |
| Hey people, hows it hanging? All is well here in Asscrackistan. We have been really busy lately trying to pack up things we don't need for now and send them home, so as to not have to do it later. I'm getting excited about going home for a while. I just hope I act well and don't tick anyoine off, making them wish I had stayed here. Thats really my only concern, how I'll act. I have been away from home for a while and I don't know how to react to things back home, like my friends that have moved on with their lives and new stuff hitting home for me, like being a dad. If anyone has advice, please help. Take care and God bless America. | | |
| Whats up people? I know thats its been a while since my last message. I have been busy. We got attacked the other day and our internet got hit, but all is well. Just wanted to say thanks for all the Easter wishes and prayers. It has been a long day today and I need a break. I get to go home for R&R May and I'm so excited. Well, I gotta go, but I'll try to leave a better message next time. Hey Amber, e-mail me and let me know how you're doing. Love you Candice and hope to call you soon. Later people. | | |
| You know, now I understand why people over here are so ticked all the time. I would be too if I had 130 degree summers, camel spiders the size of the face suckers on Aliens, sand getting into even the most uncomfortable places, and sand storms that come before the rain storms so that it rains mud after you get sand blasted. This place is seriously the most crappy place I've ever been to. And I'm from Waco Texas, so I know what crappy places are. And you know what the funny thing is, I love it here. I really do. And I don't know why. Maybe my brain is fried. I think thats it. Its bad though, cause we are starting to have heat casualties, guys falling out on the flight line or just walking from one place to another. They are just too hot and pass out, or have heat strokes. We try to keep hydrated, but its kinda hard when we are running around all the time. The sweat just evaporates off our skin and doesn't even cool us down. These people can have their country, I seriously don't think that America wants this place. Well, I think the voices in my head are silent so I have nothing else to write, later. Wait, what am I doing here? I am so confused.....hehe. | | |
| Hello my Patriotic friends, all is well here in the land of the dead, just kidding. But seriously, everything is good, just trying to stay cool and hydrated. I have been getting alot of e-mails and stuff from people that want to send me stuff, like books, music, letters, etc. Anything is appreciated, and not to be rude or mean, but if I don't need it, I can always give it to someone that does, thats what we do over here, we share everything. If you would like to contribute anything, please e-mail me at phillip.curran@us.army.mil and I will reply sending you my address over here. Well, to all those like my fiance, my buddy Kevin, and Josh from Wisconsin that have been supporrting me for a while, thank you so much for all you have done and your efforts to try to stop the insanity that is a boring day. Seriously though, feel free to e-mail me and I will get back to you ASAP. Thanks again for everyone nd everything. Take care and God Bless.
